A quick guide on what to wear for side saddle lessons.
To ensure a safe and effective learning experience, all riders participating in side saddle instruction are expected to wear appropriate and functional attire. Comfort and mobility are key when riding aside.
We recommend wearing comfortable pants with stretch to allow freedom of movement—jodhpurs, riding tights, jeggings, or stretchy jeans all work well.

For footwear, short riding boots are ideal for lessons. You may choose to wear chapettes or gaiters on the LEFT leg only, but these are optional.
Please avoid tall boots that sit under the right knee, as they can cause discomfort or even skin damage when in contact with the fixed horn of the side saddle. If it safe to do so, you may opt to remove a boot from your right foot and just wear a sock.
Do not wear an apron skirt for lessons, as it's important for your instructor to clearly see your leg position. However, wearing one when hacking out is optional and based on personal preference.
A safety helmet is required for all lessons, and while a safety vest is optional, it may offer extra confidence—especially for beginners.
